Last week I got a mail that excited me . The mail was from one of the fellow bloggers and it said that my blog www.alubhujia.com had been nominated for Liebster Award 2018 . I didn’t know what Liebster Award meant . So I searched and came to know that it is an award that exists only on the  Internet and is given to bloggers by other fellow bloggers . Liebster in German means “sweetest, kindest, nicest, dearest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing, and welcome”. You know one year ago , I knew only of facebook and little of Instagram . Then I started blogging and my interaction with twitter started . Twitter is a great social media platform .  The other platform Pinterest was something I had heard of , but never used really . Actually I did try it I think in my vacation in June 2017 but that time it appeared complex  to me . I could see hell lot of images images and images , although very provoking and tempting . But  how were  just these images useful to me ?   And I didn’t even know how people created those colorful catchy images . After trying my hands on it for few days , I uninstalled the Pinterest app from my phone .  The  year  2018  brought # superbloggerchallenge2018 , a ten week long blogging challenge .  It is still going on and I am participating. This challenge is helping me learn new techniques and  develop new skills . The hosts introduced all the participants to Pinterest and told how useful it is . I have started using it...

Today when I was just reading other blogs on Indiblogger,  See what I came across : The pic and the quote struck my mind and I started writing on it . I was wearing the RED , but blushing red SHE  was. I was wondering at  the beauty of the RED saree , but feeling proud SHE was. Actually it was Karvachauth festival and I had worn my Mom’s  RED saree.  It was not an ordinary saree but my Mom’s RED Wedding Saree, the one  she had worn on her Big day more than four decades ago. U know my daughter has a period in her school , called as DEAR period , which stands for DROP  EVERYTHING  AND  READ  It is held twice a week and i just love this concept. Everybody just drops any work he/she is doing and starts reading any book or magazine of choice. Same was the case with  me   in the month of September 2017 under #Myfriendalexa. Daily  I was finding special time when i dropped everything and started to read others’ blogs . #Myfriendalexa gave a wide collection of   blogs based on different genres.  Reading these blogs  widened my mind’s thinking . My daily DEAR time not only took me to different worlds( worlds of fiction, fantasy , recipes, travel ,……..and …….its a long list )  but also enhanced my vocabulary . I learnt many new words which i had never known about . I had to search for those words in the dictionary to understand what they mean. उसकी मुस्कान बहुत प्यारी है । जब भी वो घर आता है तो उसे देख मैं भी मुस्कुराये बिना नही रह पाती । पास ही के एक हिंदी मीडियम सरकारी  स्कूल में आठवीं कक्षा का विद्यार्थी है । मोहल्ले की गलियों में साईकिल पर इधर उधर चक्कर काटता दिखता  है शाम को ।  वह गली के नुक्कड़ पर बैठे  कपड़े प्रेस करने वाले रवि भैया का बेटा है । सोहन नाम है उसका । सोहन सुबह  स्कूल जाता है और शाम को अपने पिता के काम में हाथ  बंटाता है । लोगों के घरों से कपड़े लेकर आना और फिर प्रेस किये हुए कपड़े वापिस देकर आना सोहन का काम है । कपड़ों की 2-3 गठरियां साईकिल के पीछे और 2-3 आगे साईकिल की  टोकरी में । सोहन की  माँ का पिछले साल गंभीर एक्सीडेंट हो गया था जिस वजह से वो अब घर का सारा काम संभालने में असमर्थ है । तो रवि भैया और सोहन ही  मिलजुलकर सब काम करते हैं , चाहे खाना बनाना हो या  अपनी छोटी सी प्रेस की दुकान संभालने का काम । सोहन को टीवी पर  मूवीज देखना भी  बेहद पसंद है । सोहन जब भी हमारे घर कपड़े लेने आता है तो उसकी नज़र सबसे पहले कमरे में पड़ी किताबों की तरफ जाती है । अगर घर पर टीवी चल रहा हो तो वह दूर से खड़े खड़े एकटक टीवी पर चल र...

Her Mom & Dad’s marriage was an intercaste love marriage . Everybody was resistant. Even God behaved unsympathetic and took away her Dad, just before sending her on this earth . Her Mom fostered her all alone , facing many strains of the harsh society . The life had not been shiny as those stylish  shiny shoes. She wanted to achieve high in studies but couldn’t even continue her school for long. But today , she is a successful model.  With the smooth legs in those shiny shoes , she is now able to well maintain the balance in her life , just like those high heels.
