Gir Gir ke hi to seekhte hain na #MyDaddyMyWorld

“Na na abhi bahut choti hai isko cycle chalana mat sikhao gir jayegi” I remember Mom saying this to my Dad when I was a little girl . To this Dad would say “Gir Gir ke hi to seekhte hain na ” Mom was very sensitive and emotional . I think all Moms are but my mom was somewhat xtra . I can’t say Dad was not emotional . He was , He still is , but he wanted his daughter to learn the skill of cycling and also many other skills . I fell hundreds of times but he made me learn ‘kainchi art of cycling’ where you have to half pedal  a bicycle . You have to get on just one pedal and balance it like that for few meters before you step on and get seated on it . This requires better balance you know and it was harder for me to learn as a child . But I tell you it was enjoyable once I could  acquire  that skill . It became fun for me after that . Then my mom also felt proud watching me ride a bicycle . Then she also took advantage of me and my bicycle by asking me to buy a bread or milk from the near

Education 5E Model : Which are the most important Es ?

Hi ! My name is Monika and  I am a teacher . I am working in the field of Education or should I say the field of Teaching-Learning for the last 18 years . My Basic educational qualification is Bachelor of Science (Mathematics  & Physics as the main subjects ) followed by Masters in Physics . So I have been teaching these two subjects for the last so many years . I have spent more years teaching Mathematics than Physics . The students themselves try to find the solutions based on their prior learning . All this promotes curiosity and creativity among the students. I have often used the constructivist

5 Summer Essential Tips -Simple but Effective #BeatTheHeat

Summers are very harsh in the months of June-July in India . With  a temperature around 44 degree here in North , it becomes tough to struggle with heat , sweat , pollution , humidity . It becomes essential to take extra special care of yourself . I follow some simple tips which make me comfortable during this scorching heat in summer season . Exfoliate and Tone your skin Do use a good scrub for your face and body as a scrub helps to get rid of old skin cells and prepare for new ones . This is exfoliation . It helps to keep your skin youthful and glowing . You should do it at least twice a week . Grab a skin scrub for yourself today only . On daily basis , after cleansing your skin with a mild facewash or cleanser , use a toner which helps maintain pH level of your skin and also reduces penetration of any more dirt in your skin . I use Aroma Magic toner which I am able to just spray on my face and feel fresh & hydrated in summer . 2. Sunscreen A sunscreen is a must for summer . Loo

Scrolling through facebook posts and notifications today , I came across a video by Sandeep Maheshwari “How to be happy?” The audience is asking that they are busy from morning till late night , working non-stop like robots , getting up early , finishing off domestic chores , working for hours in the office , also spending time for family’s wishes and happiness  , with no time left for self -happiness . This is the case with all of us . Right ? Even after doing all the above listed tasks on daily basis , people can be heard complaining about us-You didn’t do this , you didn’t perform your duty perfectly , you didn’t cook tasty food today ,blah blah blah . We are so much in the grip of the daily life struggles that we are too much occupied with worries , tensions , jealousy ,with hardly any time for self-happiness . Then what do we do ? Well , Sandeep Maheshwari answers – Contentment is the key to happiness . Yes all of us know that . But how many of us have this contentment ? Some of u
