Motherhood titbits that I cherish #Momology

F I am a Mom , mom to a beautiful daughter who is 12 years old now . Now at this stage , my daughter has become more like a friend . While sharing our bed at night , she shares her school titbits and I love to listen to the chatterbox along with sharing hugs and kisses . Before we actually go to sleep , we read a story from a book or I myself build one . The other fun activity without which we can’t   go to sleep  is  playing word connect game  on mobile . It’s a good mind exercise for both of us. And I feel happy when most of the time she wins. Although it seems very cool but Motherhood sometimes exhausts me, may be  because Mind is  trapped in many other responsibilities of life . Getting up early in the morning , packing tiffins for husband , me , my daughter and then myself rushing to the office with no breakfast most of the times , coming in evening , deciding on the way what’s to be prepared in dinner , buy veggies , come home , help daughter i...

Why Women must pursue some hobbies ?

“ Women should pursue some hobbies , something that they do just for themselves .  When you have an identity , then people respect you else you could be taken for granted “   says the Bollywood great actress Madhuri Dixit . When it’s the women we are talking about , most of the women are just constantly busy performing their daily responsibilities , maintaining work-family balance , with hardly any time left for their own . If you ask any woman “What special did you do today for yourself ?” Answer would be in an astonishing gesture ” Just for myself ?? No No ….There’s no time left just for myself . ” If you ask any woman “Did you cook something of your choice in the past few days?” Answer would be ” I am a mother ,I have to cook as per my child’s or my husband’s wish otherwise they just don’t eat ” If you ask any woman “What is your hobby ?” The question just puts her in the thin...

# X-Factor : What's your X-Factor as a woman ? #BlogchatterA2Z #Astitva

X stands for X-Factor X- Factor is a noteworthy special talent or quality , It’s an attribute beyond description , something which makes a person unique . A piece of fiction on “X-Factor” At the age of 62 , Today when I was being awarded with “Pratibha Puraskar ” by the district social club , I overheard someone saying ” That lady has an X-factor in her which makes her so special” . The term X-factor took me in my past . The only rosy part in my married life was that I got blessed with two beautiful daughters . To live with their father always was a task that tested my patience and quietude . I never knew my Art College degree would be wasted in such artistic roles like dusting , washing or just  cooking . I was happily playing all the roles of a maid and was sometimes  even being  treated   like the one , although my  official tag was that I was a Home Maker. One day one of my friends Ravita happened to call me after a gap of many years , As s...

#Uterus On Rent - Challenges of a Surrogate Mother #BlogchatterA2Z #Astitva

A piece of Fiction on “Uterus on Rent “ As he does it once every month  ,  Ajay left early from his office today because his son Sujoy had come along with him and it was a Dad’s promise to his son about one hour games time  at the Centra mall in the evening before they reach back home. ” Bye Sujoy , have fun at the Centra , Love you  ” almost everybody in the office has a friendly bond  with Sujoy   as the 4 year old  steals everybody’s heart by his  smile . At the mall ” O Hi Ajay , What a pleasant surprise ! How come you are here ? ” His colleague Manoj’s   sudden appearance didn’t please Ajay ” Just came for Sujoy to enjoy  the kids rides ”  Ajay replied in a formal voice trying to avoid him ” O I see , but ,  don’t you always take Sujoy to Centra mall , how come  today here at Waves mall ? ” Manoj’s  eyes were turning  around to look for  baby Sujoy when he suddenly  noticed him with a wo...

#Menstruation - Still a Taboo ? Let's Talk it Away. #BlogchatterA2Z

M stands for Menstruation Why is Menstruation still a Taboo ? Why this topic is restricted by social customs ? My Menstruation story My 9th class result was declared and there was a holiday break of 4-5 days before the next class was to begin . And the early morning of my first holiday came with a shocking RED Spot . Although I did have some idea about this RED  because of a girls special counselling session in the school , but not much . Seeing that RED in my underwear , I was all in cries and ran to my mumma. Tension was gripping me harder  as some  guests were expected that day , my uncle, aunty and cousins  . My mumma hugged me first trying to console me and then gave me a cotton pad to use . I placed it but it couldn’t make me comfortable enough to play some running games with my guest cousins . I made some headache or stomachache excuse and we settled on playing carrom. I was showing off to be  playing but my mind was in my underwear you know . Something sticky was...

#Love - The purest and eternal form of Love is Motherhood #BlogchatterA2Z

L stands for LOVE Motherhood is the greatest form of Love on this earth . The love which is pure and eternal . I think only a mother can feel how it feels to be a mother . God has gifted every woman with this wonderful  bond of Love . Thankyou God for the  gift of Motherhood (I am a Mom to a daughter who is eleven years old now .   Today I want to share  about  what I love about my gift of  Motherhood ) After I got married , I had to undergo abortion even before I celebrated my first anniversary . It was certainly depressing  but after around one year more , I conceived again . Since the day I saw her as a seed in my first ultrasound , I am in Love with my gift of motherhood . From that ultrasound  day to the day I delivered her and till today , I can feel the love rising . Her smiles are so real and hugs so pure that they automatically bring smile on my face , in my heart , in my soul . I love to care for her , even worry for her. You can read the post I wrote on my abortion  When she...

A Letter to my Unborn Child

Within first year of my marriage , I had to undergo abortion.  It was followed by the feelings  of sadness, pain (more of sentimental), loss  and regret. A   loving bond  with my  unborn child that  had started nurturing , had to breakdown within  few weeks . Today I express my emotions  in this letter to my Unborn Child. A Letter to my Unborn Child  I held you inside me for few weeks ,but didn’t get a chance to hold you in my arms.  I felt your heartbeat  inside me , but couldn’t  welcome you in the world  outside. God didn’t give us a chance to cuddle  with each other , but  the memories of your little movements inside my tummy  are afresh in my mind.  Your little kicks didn’t hurt me but used to bring smile on my face. We were growing our emotional bond when God suddenly changed his plans. We were not allowed to continue our love for long but the bond we made even in those few weeks  , is  precious for me , and  it always would be. When Doctor la...

She loves to Dance , But would she have to Bury Her Dreams ?

This post won the WOW badge from Blogadda Megha is married to Akash for the last 12 years and they are blessed with a son Madhav who is now 4 years old.  Having blessed with parenthood after  many years , Akash is too possessive about his son and is always concerned about him . Sometimes his over concerned attitude shows few signs of narrow-mindedness, which Megha  doesn’t feel good about . But she has adjusted. She  gives priority to his home and family . Megha had a love for classical dance in her college  ,  which she couldn’t continue after her marriage. Last year when  she had turned 39 , she had shared about this interest with Akash and asked  for permission to join a dance academy.  But Aakash had refused on the pretext of their baby  being too small . This year , when Madhav has started going to school , Akash agrees about Megha pursuing his dance interest, but  asks her to make sure this doesn’t happen at the cost of the time and care their baby needs. Altho...

My Family is my real wealth - Let's celebrate #gratefulness to our Family

Once again I take out some time and reflect on how fortunate I am. Today  let me express my #gratefulness to my dear family. First of all I feel grateful to my loving parents who brought me in this world. In this big universe , my own little world meant my supportive Dad, caring Mom and a friendly teasing brother. Being the youngest one in the family used to be an advantage to  me whenever I and my brother had a fight . Remembering those times still bring a smile . I am thankful to my maternal aunts, uncles and cousins with whom I had the best of the times in my growing years . The days of togetherness during summer vacation used to be daily celebrations . Even a simple birthday party at home felt like a big function in the family , planning those little games, decorating the house and cooking variety of dishes all at home. I think all this enhanced emotional bonding . I am thankful to my husband and my In-laws family who are equally loving and understanding . I am fortunate enough fo...

We have developed a great bond  in these five months . I can feel you . But tomorrow I will go away . Mom , You know I am just like you , I am a girl with brown eyes and black hair , But tomorrow I will go away. Mom , When you place your hand on your belly and  try to feel me,  cuddle me , I feel so blessed . Mom, please bless me today for the last time , because tomorrow I will go away. Mom , When you sing for me , the music soothes me.  Mom, please sing a song for me today  for the last time, because tomorrow I will go away . आज़ाद सोच #redefinefreedom Alllll is welllll

Challenges of Motherhood
