Sometimes the life becomes a real struggle – there are conflicts with family , pressures at workplace , parenting burdens , health troubles , and there accompany them the stressful  emotions -frustration , anger , sadness , hatred , self-neglect , and many more . When such emotions pile up in your mind , you need to become very careful of your thoughts as your mind has entered a red zone . You have to work on your thoughts so as to avoid potential of community outbreak o...

Is Grumpiness part of life ?

Country is locked down and so am I within few square feet of space. After the routine tasks of mopping , dishing , laundry , cooking , sanitizing the nooks and corners of my home , I lighted  a diya in my little temple and then sat with my laptop along with  TV switched on   . I scrolled through various channels ,with most of them showing the Corona news and the lookout for Maulana . The rising number of cases in the various states brought me fear and stress . I wanted to write my next post for the blogging challenge but nothing came in my mind . I distracted myself by picking a book to read but couldn’t enjoy it . I didn’t even feel like making rice for my daughter in the lunch . Thankfully she is big enough to make it on her own . The previous night’s dream also kept scaring me till evening . Scientists were making arrangements for sending me in space for their next satellite mission . I was so frightened and kept refusing but they were continually persuading  me ....

Which Lifestyle and Habits keep me going ?

What kind of person I am ? Before I start writing about my habits , let me write about the kind of a person I am . I am a simple woman –not too much after fashion , brands or  make-up . I am most of the times a smiling person . It’s not that  I do not get angry , but I have observed that my anger lasts only for few minutes . I yell it away and then suddenly my smile is back. I also have the ‘Let-go’ tendency . That keeps me stress free in many situations . Now analyzing all these things , what should I call myself ? Will the word   ‘Easy-going’ be suitable ? ‘Easy-going’ is the person who keeps himself at ease while moving through Life In everybody’s life there are ups and downs , smiles and stress. Not all days are good . But on the same time not all days are bad . And you will agree that some days go very good . When I spent the good days excitedly with smiles , then I should be having enough strength to  move across the bad days without frowns . ‘Easy-going ‘ doesn’t mean that I am ...

It may take time for things to run smoothly , but I had to start afresh . So here I am with a fresh happy start . We all want to be happy. But today’s lifestyle has engulfed us so tight that sometimes it feels that we are not living in the real sense but  just rushing to complete  some tasks  that have been allotted to us . The same monotonous job and its targets  , the pressure of finishing off all the home/family tasks makes us feel like a machine , a non living thing . A high-tech machine  is able to perform many complex tasks but it can’t feel anything , it can’t smile or laugh . It can neither cry nor be happy . That’s what we have become – a machine . Don’t you remember how we define a machine ? A mac...

How do I become happy ?

Scrolling through facebook posts and notifications today , I came across a video by Sandeep Maheshwari “How to be happy?” The audience is asking that they are busy from morning till late night , working non-stop like robots , getting up early , finishing off domestic chores , working for hours in the office , also spending time for family’s wishes and happiness  , with no time left for self -happiness . This is the case with all of us . Right ? Even after doing all the above listed tasks on daily basis , people can be heard complaining about us-You didn’t do this , you didn’t perform your duty perfectly , you didn’t cook tasty food today ,blah blah blah . We are so much in the grip of the daily life struggles that we are too much occupied with worries , tensions , jealousy ,with hardly any time for self-happiness . Then what do we do ? Well , Sandeep Maheshwari answers – Contentment is the key to happiness . Yes all of us know that . But how man...
