I came across a Ted Talk by Sam Berns , a patient of a rare disease known as Progeria , in which he talks about his philosophy for a happy life . I wish to share something out of that talk with you all .
If you wish to listen to the Ted Talk this is the link
1. Be okay with what you ultimately can't do, because there is so much you can do.'
“I always try to have something to look forward to, something to strive for to make my life richer,” Berns says .
Planning someone's birthday party or working for your badminton match or planning your next family vacation or sparing time for painting or working towards your long term goals - any such moves are very important that keep your life excited .
Because of the rare disease Progeria , Sam didn't live long . He said goodbye in his teenage but even today his words inspire many of us --" I try hard not to waste energy feeling badly about myself, because when I do, I get stuck in a paradox where there is no room for happiness or any other emotion.”
I am writing this post as part of #BlogchatterA2Z month long writing festival .
I love the point - never miss a party if you can help it. My philosophy is, if you won't be subject to emotional atyachar later, miss the party 🤣
ReplyDeletei can relate to that emotional atyachaar😄😄
