Spreading Smiles - Meri Smile Wali Selfie

Well I like to click pictures but I  am not  the kind of person you can call a selfie queen . I do like to click occasionally , especially when I am on a holiday or I am dressed up for some party . And you know,   my smile is part of my personality and obviously it is there whenever I pose for any picture . Any of my pictures,   which is by chance  clicked without a smile , appears so dull to me . I think one clicks a selfie only when one is really happy .

Below is one of my smile wali selfie   which I love and  cherish . I took this selfie last year in June 2017 when we went on a holiday trip to Nepal .  The girl with me in this picture is neither any of my relatives or friends . She was a stranger to me until we clicked a smile wali selfie together .

Smile

Actually we had hired a bike for one day in Pokhra , Nepal for local sightseeing . The weather was so pleasant ; I and my daughter were feeling the winds on the rear seat of the bike  as my husband drove on the hilly roads of Pokhra city . It was a good trek and we stopped for tea near a place called Sarangkot . It was a tiny tea shop being run by a lady in their  house only . There were some kids playing around and this girl in pic was one of them  . The Nepalese little girl was so cute with her half broken teeth . And as I took out my phone , she was so  excited to have been clicked and sat besides me  almost hugging me .  As I smiled , she also broadcasted her innocent and pure smile . As we two smiled , her whole family smiled. You know smile is contagious . I loved to have chai and biscuit at their tea shop and capture the moments in my camera and my heart . As I am writing about her today , those memories are getting permanently marked in my mind .

I feel a Smile does great work at many times . It has the power to lighten up your  and the other person’s mood and it sends positive vibrations. When you smile , it is like making the other person feel welcomed.  You have the power to spread  happiness and  delete any previous misunderstandings with just your little smile . It doesn’t take much , so please smile and spread happiness . I have tested this smile funda at many times in my life ; be it the little incident when I am bargaining with a vegetable vendor in the market or the much bigger incident when I want to smooth out  the home environment after an argument with the husband . So you know a smile does wonders . You can try this out . Whenever you are stressed or  just running  in routine life affairs and forget to smile , just take out few seconds and smile . Remember any of the good old moments and smile .  Right now too , as you are reading this , just smile- may be for no reason . But just smile . How do you feel ?  Don’t you feel good ? Yes the cheeks , the eyes and the mind all smile together . Good mood feelings pop up as soon as you smile . So why not to smile and spread happiness ? After all , a smile increases your face value too .

Zoning out and other tips to free your mind

Red zone , orange zone , green zone , we all are familiar with these terms now-a-days . The district where I live has been declared as a red zone . Red zone is the zone where there are quite a large number of cases of Corona virus infection and it stands a chance to spread rapidly . Orange zone is where there are few cases and it can be controlled with few efforts . Green zone is the one where there’s no virus infection as yet and we want it to remain a green zone . The same concept applies to our thoughts . Sometimes the life becomes a real struggle – there are conflicts with family , pressures at workplace , parenting burdens , health troubles , and there accompany them the stressful  emotions -frustration , anger , sadness , hatred , self-neglect , and many more . When such emotions pile up in your mind , you need to become very careful of your thoughts as your mind has entered a red zone . You have to work on your thoughts so as to avoid potential of community outbreak o...

A letter to my Kitchen

Being a woman i also spend lot of time in my kitchen whether full heartedly , half heartedly or not at all heartedly . But in any case i have to go in my kitchen off and on . Today I feel like writing a letter to my kitchen. Dear Kitchen    Hope you are living a fulfilling life with all your jars filled to the brim with wheat , rice , pulses , sugar , tea ,coffee and cookies . I also hope that your sinks are now empty and clean unlike the last month when maid was on leave . Those days ,your sinks used to be piled up with utensils and it stinked so badly .  Dear kitchen , it's been around seventeen years that i am taking care of you . Now you are grown up as a teenager and so you should learn to be responsible and maintain your hygiene .  It feels good when my family agrees on khichdi and your cooker does the job   in  just one whistle . But you just don't cooperate when they demand Chole Bhature and you also start giving me tantrums . Remember ho...

Theme Reveal #BlogchatterA2Z 2022

I started my blog five years ago and my blogging journey during these five years has gone through many twists and turns . I started my blog on self hosted wordpress site , learnt lot many technical aspects like DA ,  SEO and latram patram .....Blogchatter has been a constant friend ( plus a big support) since then ....I have  successfully participated in  #BlogchatterA2Z three times .....and wrote two ebooks too during the process . All this was quite exciting you know as I got to understand a bit of creative side of writing , made some new blogger friends , and became a proud AUTHOR of two ebooks .  In 2018 my theme was #Astitva where I wrote about various stigmas faced by a woman in our society . In 2019 I wrote under the theme #Prerna where I uploaded  some inspirational posts . In 2020 all my blogposts were related to the life of middle aged women (as that was the time I had just stepped into my forties ) . That was the time I came up with the book 'The Silv...
