Go Organic --Advantages of Organic Food & My Garden

Like you , I also feel worried many times upon the quality of foods that we are eating . There are so many videos floating on whatsapp that show how artificial veggies are being created . When I find  my and my family’s health at stake , It pushes my mind to think and research more  about organic  food .

Organic Food Advantages

Chemical Free – Organic food is grown without any pesticides or chemicals . So you can have it without the worries of anything bogging your system down . You can mentally feel relaxed that yes ! you are really having healthy food . Inorganic foods which have been grown with the help of dangerous pesticides , are the cause of  developing  many diseases like immune disorders, hypertension and even taking your heart slowly towards cardiac diseases . So the need is to go organic .

Natural Nutrient Food —When the food is grown naturally , without any chemicals speeding up its maturation , then its natural nutrients are kept intact . So you get to have Nutrient denser food , having no compromises with your health .

Freshness –Organic food does not contain any preservatives that can make it last longer. So you get to consume fresh food. Fresh food   helps keep your mind too fresh , so great for mental health .

Organic

Elevates antioxidant intake –-Organic farming methods can increase the concentration of antioxidants in veggies , fruits , grains and dairy products . In this way , we can elevate our antioxidant intake by consuming more of organic Food , without a proportional rise in calories .

Good for environment –As no harmful chemicals are used in organic farming , so there is minimal soil, air , water pollution and thus ensuring healthier world for future generations .

So , knowing these advantages , It’s time to go organic .

Luckily, I have my Organic Garden

Well ,  I am  not fond of gardening but my family is very  lucky that we  have a big mango tree in the courtyard of our  house .  We are  living in a rented house actually(for the last  around ten yrs )  and  lucky , because we  didn’t plant this mango  tree  .Someone else must have planted it few years ago and we are just enjoying its fruit for the last ten years .

I don’t know whether I should call it organic or just natural , but every summer ,the  tree satisfies  us with the huge amount of fruit it gives . And touchwood , the fruit is so so tasty and the quantity too is huge , so much that we distribute much to our friends . This year also , as summers are approaching ,  we are eagerly waiting for the tree to bear sweetness .  Nowadays , the tree is much flowered , getting ready to bear the fruit . ( In the collage , the left pic is the mango tree in our house )

We don’t buy mangoes from the market

We are all very fond of mangoes and we are happy n lucky that we don’t have to buy the chemically processed mangoes from the market . When we compare the market mangoes and  home organic mangoes , we do find a difference in taste . The mangoes of our own tree are much sweeter .   But we get to eat the mangoes late than the market mangoes  . When I  can see rehris full of yellow ripe mangoes around the first week of May  ,  my tree bears only    little  green baby mangoes . Why ? Simple , because no chemicals !  I get to have  my natural preservatives free mangoes in the month of June . Its better to taste  natural   fruit late than  the early chemical fruit .

Our natural king of the fruits helps all our family in having many vitamins , minerals along with the luscious taste . If you want to read some other benefits of mangoes or other organic fruits,  click here .

What is your take on organic food ? Do you prefer buying organic foods and veggies ? If yes then which ones you find the best ? Please share so that I also move ahead of my lucky organic garden and explore more options to go organic .

Theme Reveal #BlogchatterA2Z 2022

I started my blog five years ago and my blogging journey during these five years has gone through many twists and turns . I started my blog on self hosted wordpress site , learnt lot many technical aspects like DA ,  SEO and latram patram .....Blogchatter has been a constant friend ( plus a big support) since then ....I have  successfully participated in  #BlogchatterA2Z three times .....and wrote two ebooks too during the process . All this was quite exciting you know as I got to understand a bit of creative side of writing , made some new blogger friends , and became a proud AUTHOR of two ebooks .  In 2018 my theme was #Astitva where I wrote about various stigmas faced by a woman in our society . In 2019 I wrote under the theme #Prerna where I uploaded  some inspirational posts . In 2020 all my blogposts were related to the life of middle aged women (as that was the time I had just stepped into my forties ) . That was the time I came up with the book 'The Silver Lined Mommy'

A letter to my Kitchen

Being a woman i also spend lot of time in my kitchen whether full heartedly , half heartedly or not at all heartedly . But in any case i have to go in my kitchen off and on . Today I feel like writing a letter to my kitchen. Dear Kitchen    Hope you are living a fulfilling life with all your jars filled to the brim with wheat , rice , pulses , sugar , tea ,coffee and cookies . I also hope that your sinks are now empty and clean unlike the last month when maid was on leave . Those days ,your sinks used to be piled up with utensils and it stinked so badly .  Dear kitchen , it's been around seventeen years that i am taking care of you . Now you are grown up as a teenager and so you should learn to be responsible and maintain your hygiene .  It feels good when my family agrees on khichdi and your cooker does the job   in  just one whistle . But you just don't cooperate when they demand Chole Bhature and you also start giving me tantrums . Remember how i  had to bear my daughter

Education 5E Model : Which are the most important Es ?

Hi ! My name is Monika and  I am a teacher . I am working in the field of Education or should I say the field of Teaching-Learning for the last 18 years . My Basic educational qualification is Bachelor of Science (Mathematics  & Physics as the main subjects ) followed by Masters in Physics . So I have been teaching these two subjects for the last so many years . I have spent more years teaching Mathematics than Physics . When we talk of Teaching-Learning or Education  , there are many theories and approaches  available. One of them is constructivist approach to learning . It  focuses on the principle that Knowledge must be constructed and not just transmitted. Unlike Traditional approach in the classroom , Constructivist approach focuses that the teacher poses problems and questions for the students . The students themselves try to find the solutions based on their prior learning . All this promotes curiosity and creativity among the students. I have often used the constructivist
